The Links, Inc. is a 501 (c) (4) not-for-profit organization of more than 16,000 concerned, committed, and dedicated women of African descent, linked by 292 chapters in cities across America and around the globe. The Links members are news makers, role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work toward the realization of making the name "Links" not only a chain of friendship, but also a chain of purposeful service. The Erie County Chapter of The Links was organized in 1987 by nine women united in their endeavors of excellence and concern for their community. More info about the history of the Chapter. The Erie County Chapter is a part of the Eastern Area of The Links, Incorporated.
